| I bought my first Miata back in 1991 (Crystal White). Around 2000, I was encouraged to go to an autocross, which I absolutely loved. Later that same year, I installed a roll bar so that I could check out the racetrack scene. In 2003, I decided that my addiction to going to the track was great enough that I wanted to check out the racing scene, so I converted this once humble daily driver into a Spec Miata racecar. I now race the car in SCCA and NASA events, running in the Spec Miata and ITA race classes. The car is often seen at open track events, as well, and I now run events of my own under the name T.E. A.M. Racing (www.team-racing.org). I also instruct for clubs like NASA, SCCA, Hooked on Driving, Track Masters, Leadfoot Adventures, and of course T.E.A.M. I truly enjoy the world of motorsports, and I love sharing it with others. This car has been so good to me, I can’t complain one bit! |

| Before I could start the build of the racecar, I had to get another daily driver. I looked high and low, but could not resist buying another Miata. So now I am also the proud owner of a 1993 Classic Red that has treated me quite well. I’ve kept the mods down on this car to just some Falken Azenis tires and KYB AGX shocks. Though this little gem does not haul many groceries, what it does haul makes me very happy. |
